Misinformatie: feiten en fictie
gaat over misinformatie, desinformatie, misleiding, nepnieuws, propaganda, De grote Leugen, censuur, complotdenken en immuniteit hier voor.
Ministeries van Waarheid:
De zgn. strijd tegen nepnieuws verwordt al heel gauw tot een Orwelliaans Ministerie van Waarheid.
Zoals Murphy (2022) hier beschrijft, kennen de Verenigde Staten van Amerika sinds de regering Biden zo'n organisatie, genaamd de "Disinformation Governance Board", een afdeling binnen de "Department of Homeland Security (DHS)", hun ministerie van binnenlandse veiligheid. Volgens Murphy een ondermijning van het beroemde Amerikaanse "Firts Amendment" op de grondwet, het recht van vrije meningsuiting.

GlobalWitness.org glooft heilig in het VN-narratief van de CAGW: de Catastrophal Antropogenetic Global Warming. (de catastrofale door mensen veroorzaakte opwarming van de wereld): een "undeniable truth".
Iedereen die hieraan twijfelt of een tegengestelde mening heeft en die ventileert, geniale gerennomeerde wetenschappers of het grote publiek, doen per definitie aan disinformatie, en ja, is zelfs "fuelling the climate crisis".
Dit verhaal is een "ideaaltypisch" voorbeeld van Groepsdenken: er is een verhaal , theorie of hypothese (CAGW), die niet onomstotelijk kan worden bewezen. Daarom beroept men zich op (een valselijk gefabriceerde) consensus in de wetenschap en op relevante autoriteiten, zoals o.a. de "politiek-wetenschappelijke" IPCC - het Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. De "gelovigen" weten alles zeker en dulden geen tegenspraak, niet uit het publiek en ook niet uit de wetenschap op dit gebied. Er mag geen sprake zijn van enige discussie, want dat zou twijfel zaaien onder het publiek, dat zich moet scharen achter het "Narratief". Dit is geen wetenschap, maar geloof.

Climate disinformation is hindering our ability to combat the gravest threat of our time.
The reality of the climate crisis is an undeniable truth – average global temperatures are increasing due to emissions of greenhouse gases released by human activities.
Rising temperatures bring with them increasingly frequent and severe weather events like droughts, wildfires and storms, devastating the natural world, people’s lives, and their livelihoods.
The verdict is in, and the science is clear: we must take bold action to protect our world from the worst effects of climate change.
And yet, many conversations about the climate crisis are still stuck in a different reality, where urgency is minimised and the science is called into question. This is in part because of climate disinformation.
Pierre Gosselin beschrijft hoe de EU denkt om te gaan met wat zij klimaatgerelateerde misinformatie, disinformatie en slechte ininformatie noemen.
In the “Harmful Environmental Agendas and Tactics” (HEAT) report, published by EU DisinfoLab and Logically, its authors investigate how climate-related misinformation, disinformation, and malinformation (MDM) are strategically used to undermine climate policy in Europe, specifically in Germany, France, and the Netherlands.
Climate Science Skeptics Threaten Democracy (Oh, My!)
The report argues that climate disinformation has moved beyond simple science denial and has become a tool for broader political and social polarization.
Outright denial of climate change, the authors claim, is being replaced by narratives focused on “climate delay.”
These often acknowledge climate change but attack the feasibility, cost, and fairness of solutions, e.g., they claim green policies will bankrupt households or destroy industries.
